Team owes it to Brewster to end poor run – Cowie
INVERNESS MANAGER HAS SHOWN LOYALTY TO PLAYERS

Don Cowie believes the Caley Thistle squad must repay manager Craig Brewster for sticking with them through their run of poor form.
The 25-year-old midfielder feels the players can take the pressure off their coach by recording a positive result against Rangers at the Caledonian Stadium tomorrow.
After last week’s defeat at Motherwell some supporters called for Brewster to be sacked but former Ross County player Cowie has called on the home supporters to back the manager.
He said: “It is difficult for the manager as we have not performed as a team.
“We have shown in glimpses this season what we are capable of – we have gone to really tough places and taken three points.
“It is frustrating for us and the fans that we have shown what we are capable of – pretty much the whole squad has been signed or re-signed by Craig Brewster so we are right behind him.
“We are his players – he has shown us a lot of loyalty and we need to pay him back by doing well on the pitch. We are well aware that the results we have had recently have not been good enough.
“It is a big game on Sunday and a lot of people outwith our dressing room will not expect us to get a result.
“The fans can play a massive part for us, we definitely need them with us – there is no point in us pulling in the wrong direction, we all need to be together.”
Cowie is out of contract at the end of this term and can sign a pre-contract agreement with another club but insists he will give Inverness first refusal on his services.
He said: “I spoke to the manager in the last few days and it is just a case of waiting to hear back from Caley Thistle and see what offer is on the table and take it from there. I will definitely be listening to what they have to offer me.”
