Club cock-a-hoop, thanks to top Kiwi

SELF-HELP is the name of the game for Aberdeen Grammar Rugby in its quest to greatly improve floodlighting facilities at its Rubislaw home.

That’s why the club invited All Black legend Sean Fitzpatrick to spearhead a fundraising drive by attending a black-tie dinner in the city’s Marcliffe Hotel.

The move paid off handsomely and more than 230 guests helped raise about £20,000 on the night.

The Zoe Lee Foundation, which helps children with cancer in South Africa, will receive a substantial donation from the proceeds.
