United turn on the style under Brora floodlights

DUNDEE United’s firstteam squad travelled to Sutherland last night to officially open the new floodlights at Dudgeon Park, Brora.

Brora Rangers and the supporters who turned out in their numbers to watch the game were given plenty of excitement. The SPL side demonstrated the gulf in class in only the fifth minute of the game when a corner was headed clear only to be returned with interest by Ryan McCord.

His 25 yard volley flew into the top corner before the home keeper had a chance to move.

Andis Shala, with a hat-trick, Danny Swanson, Sean Dillon and David Goodwillie (2) rounded off the goals for the Tangerines.
