A NORTH-EAST youth charity is working with football coaches to provide a novel sporting experience for youngsters in Aberdeen.
North-east Scotland Youth for Christ (NESYFC) will be in the Northfield, Middlefield and Mastrick areas of Aberdeen this week offering youngsters the chance to play small, short games of football within the community.
The two-versus-two games, which take place in a giant cage, are being provided thanks to a team of football coaches from British Youth for Christ, which travels across the UK offering young people the chance to have a go at the small-scale game.
NESYFC will also be working in Aberdeen schools, offering help in religious education classes.
Sandy Brownlee, executive chairman of NESYFC said he was looking forward to seeing the football coaches working with young people in Aberdeen.
He said: “It's great to be part of churches coming together to give young people a positive experience. We're really excited at the prospect of the team sharing the positive message of God's love and hope with the young people of this area.”
