Prince is most eligible bachelor

A DUNDEE-BORN broadcaster has been pipped by Prince Harry to become Britain’s most eligible bachelor. .

Radio and television personality George Lamb, 29, came second in the annual list of 50 bachelors chosen by a panel of celebrity judges for the women’s magazine Company.

Lamb, a Dundee United supporter, is a regular on weekend morning show T4, the E4 digital TV channel and BBC 6 music radio station.

Before his current broadcasting career he was an accomplished band manager responsible for the careers of dance music group Audio Bullys and solo singer Lily Allen.

Among the judges in the Company top 50 was Gladiators presenter Caroline Flack, with whom Prince Harry was photographed in a car after a night out in London last weekend.

The prince, who split with former girlfriend Chelsy Davy at the start of the year, beat rivals including The Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding and Madonna’s ex-husband and film director Guy Ritchie.

Commenting on the judging process, Company editor Victoria White said: “The decision was unanimous between the judges, our readers are really starting to love Prince Harry and see him as a highly eligible bachelor.

“He’s posh and polite, yet rugged, fun and down-to-earth at the same time.

“Aside from being third in line to the throne, he has a seemingly endless list of attributes, including his party-loving nature and sense of adventure.”
