Bid to resolve Chanonry Point traffic chaos
REMOVING the vehicle turning circle at a Highland beauty spot would help alleviate the traffic jams in the area, it was claimed yesterday.
The possible solution came as police officers met with council officials to discuss solutions to the continuing traffic chaos at Chanonry Point, at Fortrose, on the Black Isle.
Limited car parking and increasing traffic on the narrow, single-track Ness Road to the dolphin-watching area overlooking the Inverness Firth has left local residents and councillors searching for a long-term solution.
