KEMNAY Football Club celebrated its 30th anniversary with a fundraising dinner at the Aberdeen Marriott Hotel.

It was a double celebration as the club has recently become only the second in the North Region to be awarded the SFA Quality Mark Development Award.

Special guests included founder member Bill Blackie and fellow coaches Bill Nicol and George Laidlaw, speakers Bill Barclay and Donald Findlay QC, and a host of former players, among them Aberdeen FC’s Darren Mackie.

Some 250 guests attended the event, which also included an auction and prize raffle, the proceeds of which will go to the future development of the club and the coaching facilities it provides for children.
