Aberdeen courts mix-up delays cases

A SHERIFF hit out at the prosecution service yesterday after she was forced to delay proceedings because the Crown Office had failed to provide the court with enough staff.

Sheriff Annella Cowan and Sheriff Kenneth Stewart were both meant to be sitting in solemn courts, where serious cases are heard, at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

After a procurator fiscal failed to appear, only one court was open for cases to be heard.
