A NORTH-EAST band is preparing for its last gig after a successful European tour.

Indian Red Lopez, a five-piece group from Peterhead, took to the stage overseas last month and will finish their tour in Aberdeen this week.

The band performed in Holland and France, as well as Glasgow, Edinburgh and London, to promote their debut self-published EP release Castles Incomplete.

The all-Buchan line-up of Michael Chang, David Cherry, Scott Maskame and Danny and Darren Forsyth, have been together in their current incarnation since November 2008.

Mr Cherry, 25, of Windmill Court, said performing overseas was “brilliant” but they are looking forward to rounding-off the tour in the north-east.

“We loved playing overseas but we do enjoy playing in and around our home town.

“The tour has been an amazing experience. The shows just seemed to get better as it went on.”

He added that their gig in Aberdeen will be the last for a while as the band are taking some time out to create new material.

Indian Red Lopez will end their tour at Snafu, in Aberdeen’s Union street, on Thursday night.
