Man taken to hospital after bus accident

A MAN was taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in one of Aberdeen’s busiest streets.
Grampian Police and ambulance crews were called to the Aberdeen incident which was among several accidents to hit the area’s roads.
The man, in his 20s, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to a shoulder injury.
The crash happened at about 12.50pm yesterday outside the St Nicholas Kirkyard on Aberdeen’s Union Street.
A Grampian Police spokesman said: “The man suffered shoulder injuries as a result and was taken to accident and emergency as a precaution.”
Meanwhile, Grampian Police and ambulance crews were called to a crash on the B993 Inverurie to Kemnay road.
Emergency services were alerted after a car careered off the Aberdeenshire road at around 12.30pm yesterday.
The woman driver was uninjured.
In another Aberdeenshire incident, a car and a lorry crashed on Skene Road at around 1.15pm. Fire crews, police and paramedics were scrambled to the scene of the crash, which partially blocked the road.
And at 1.50pm, a car ploughed off the B979 Peterculter to Stoneywood road near Clinterty. No one was injured in the Aberdeenshire crash.
At 3.50pm two cars and a van collided on the A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road near the junction with the B9777 Balmedie to Potterton road.
No one was seriously injured in the crash.
Grampian Police and ambulance crews were also called to a three-car crash on the A96 Aberdeen to Elgin road, near Glens of Foudland.
Grampian Police said no one had been injured in the 4.45pm crash.
