“Inverness had a lot of experienced players in their team, we had a very young team full of players pushing to play in our Scottish Cup tie on Saturday.
“A few of them staked their claim, right from the experienced Steve Dunn in goal through to Brian Cameron in attack they acquitted themselves very well.
“Nairn have several former Elgin players in Craig Campbell, Steven Mackay, Ally Ridgers, Dale Gillespie, Tony Low and David Hind who will have a point to prove.
“It is a huge game for us and we will be treating them with the utmost respect.
“Nairn have spent a lot of money and they will be doing everything they can to beat us.
“I am hoping there will be a great atmosphere at the game and it can rekindle the old days of the Highland League.
“We will have to match their spirit and workrate and I would like to think if we did that our passing game should be enough to win it.
“A cup run is important to this club for revenue and keeping spirits high.
“Despite our league position spirit at the club is still high, we are definitely not down.
“We have a belief we can move up the league.”
