Firework displays to light up Aberdeen area

THE skies above the Aberdeen area will light up with spectacular firework displays.

In Aberdeen this year the city council is holding a Bonfire Night celebration at Queens Links. The November 5 spectacular starts at 7.30pm.

Also on November 5, families in Kemnay can head along to a fireworks display at Bogbeth Park from 7.30pm.

Longside Community Council is holding a Guy Fawkes event at Davidson Park where the firework display is set to kick off from 6.30pm on November 5.

On Sunday, November 1, a bonfire and barbecue will be held at Mineralwell Park in Stonehaven from 6.30pm.

On Saturday, November 7, Banchory’s firework display in King George V Park starts at 7pm.

A firework display will take place at 6.30pm on November 7 at Lochter Activity Centre in Oldmeldrum.

Inverurie and District Round Table is also to hold a bonfire event on Saturday, November 7, at the Thainstone Centre from 6.30pm, with fireworks from 7pm.

Banff and District Round Table is to put on an event on November 7 at Duff House playing fields with a bonfire from 6.30pm and fireworks at 7pm.

On the same night, the sky is to come alive with fireworks in Methlick from 6pm in the field opposite Methlick Wood housing estate.

On Saturday, November 7, a pirate parade will take place in Peterhead, starting from Broad Street at 7.30pm.

On November 8 there will be a lantern walk in Huntly setting off from the square at 5pm, with a bonfire at the Meadows at 5.15pm.
