Golf hotel in line for £300,000 revamp

A MAJOR refurbishment project is under way at a popular golfing hotel in Angus.

The Letham Grange Hotel, near Arbroath, is undergoing a £300,000 refurbishment to modernise the hotel and golf courses. All 19 bedrooms in the Victorian mansion are being refurbished over the winter and a brasserie and bar is being added to the hotel.

Work on the two 18-hole golf courses includes irrigation, tree surgery and improving the bunker- ing.

A new website is also being launched.

General manager Jamie Le Friec said: “I am absolutely delighted to be involved in this project.

“We are in the middle of phase one of our refurbishment work, and exciting building development plans are under consideration at the momentwhich will concentrate on hotel and alternative leisure pursuits to broaden the country house, golf and leisure experience on the estate.”
