Campbell’s Buckie rink turns on style

IN THE Division 1 third round matches of the Moray Superleague at Elgin’s Moray Leisure Centre, Alan Campbell’s Buckie team continued its good form with a 12-1 win against Ryan MacKenzie’s Ballindalloch rink.
Andy Cameron’s Aberlour side held on to second place after a 6-5 success against Douglas Howie’s Elgin team which dropped to fourth.
Graeme Govan’s Forres rink came back strongly from the early loss of a four to Alastair Maltman’s Bank of Scotland team to secure an 8-5 win and third position.
Gavin Nicol’s Darnaway side stayed in fifth despite losing 10-8 to Dave McPherson’s Elgin Tennis Club team. Donald Ross’s Sunninghill rink secured sixth position with a convincing 11-3 win against Gordon Kennedy’s Ballindalloch side.
STANDINGS – Campbell 6 points – 18 ends, Cameron 6-13, Govan 5-15, Howie 4-13, Nicol 3-10, Ross 2-11, McPherson 2-10, MacKenzie 2-7, Kennedy 0-6, Maltman 0-5.
