Charities benefit from artistic flair

ABERDEEN-BASED wealth management consultancy Gary Walker & Co invited 60 guests to its premises at Queen’s Gate for an exclusive art exhibition featuring renowned Scottish artist Jack Vettriano.

After a champagne reception and canapes, a private meet, greet and book-signing session with the artist took place.

Gary Walker later presented David Cunningham, director of fundraising for the ARCHIE Foundation, with a cheque for £55,000, which will be split between the charities ARCHIE Foundation and Dreams Come True. The money was raised at a charity ball in October which was organised by Gary Walker in association with five other businessmen – David Gray, Jim Mitchell, David Lawrie, Charlie Bain and Harry Bowman. At the ball, one of Vettriano’s art prints sold at auction for £10,000.
