Campaign provides food for thought

SCOTLAND’S farmers tried to boost the sale of pork with a campaign slogan urging people to “put pork on your fork”. Argentina’s pig farmers are attempting to boost sales by recruiting the country’s president, Cristina Fernandez, to make a speech in which she declared that pork is better than Viagra and cited her own sex life as proof. It’s not difficult to guess which campaign will prove more effective. It’s a little more difficult to imagine a similar approach by a Scottish politician bearing fruit.
