COSALT Offshore, a provider of lifting, tooling and marine services to the oil and gas industry, has made two senior appointments.

Lisa Mitchell has been promoted to commercial director while Colin Cunningham has taken up the position of general manager of Cosalt Offshore’s lifeboat division.

Lisa, who is a law and management honours graduate from The Robert Gordon University, worked at Conoco and Brown and Root before joining Cosalt Offshore’s predecessor, gtc Group, in 2000.

Colin will be general manager of the new lifeboat division and will be based in Aberdeen.

He has extensive experience in the lifeboat sector and previously has had senior roles developing business in the UK and worldwide.

Cosalt Offshore chief executive Calum Melville said: “Lisa’s appointment to commercial director is richly deserved. Her expertise has played a critical role in helping Cosalt Offshore to secure valuable long-term clients across the whole of the North Sea industry, building a strong platform for additional future growth.

“Our lifeboat division is highly successful and has a reputation for delivering quality products and a sound legislative service, along with solid technical ability and experienced engineers. Colin is a great addition who will strengthen our team, and we are confident his experience and fantastic knowledge of the industry will help take our lifeboat division to the next level.

“Safety is paramount for us and Colin’s background of working alongside industry bodies to raise standards is an excellent fit for Cosalt Offshore.”

Colin said: “Cosalt Offshore is carrying out really innovative work and continually making advances to guide and support operators to comply with safety requirements. There is a strong market for our services and I am looking forward very much to working with such a customer-focused team.”

Cosalt Offshore has a pan-North Sea network with 300 personnel based in Aberdeen and a further 110 at its operations in Stavanger and Lowestoft.

The company supplies a full range of lifeboats and marine safety equipment to fit the individual requirements of customers.

Cosalt Offshore also handles commissioning, testing and installation work, as well as servicing.
