Broomhill primary pupils get to grips with what causes different types of weather

ABERDEEN children learned about the fun side of science when a group of touring performers visited their school.
The pupils at Broomhill Primary were shown how to create snow, ice and vapour in a series of weather-based experiments during a visit by the Generation Science team last Thursday.
The group, which was devised as, part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival, is taking its Wonderful World of Water show to schools across Scotland.
The Aberdeen leg is supported by oil company Talisman Energy (UK) for the second year running.
Children from other city schools, including St Joseph’s and Ashley Road, have also enjoyed visits from the travelling science shows.
Broomhill Primary’s head teacher Zofia Colling said: “The Wonderful World of Water show was an excellent way of engaging children and making science fun and enjoyable.
“It also reinforced science concepts and introduced the children to new ones by using a hands-on interactive and practical approach, with lots to follow up in the classroom.”
The pupils also learned about the water cycle and what causes different types of weather.
