FORFAR attacker Chris Templeman is facing a fortnight out with a shin injury.

The former Brechin forward required six stitches in a leg wound suffered in Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat by Queen’s Park.

The 29-year-old will miss at least four matches as the Loons look to safeguard a play-off place in the Third Division.

Manager Dick Campbell said: “Templeman has picked up a bad one. We missed him for most of the game on Tuesday after he went off and he will be out for another two weeks at least. It is a blow but we have players who can come into the team and it is up to them to step up.”

Campbell is looking for a response from his squad after the defeat against the Spiders which followed last weekend’s 4-0 defeat at East Stirling.

The Loons had previously gone nine matches without defeat and Campbell wants a return to form at home to Annan on Saturday.

He added: “If they don’t click back into gear there will be a rude awakening.

“I was very angry about how we applied ourselves against Queen’s Park.

“I said my piece after the game. They know how I feel, so now we move on.

“Teams are coming here and they are really up for it.

“Annan will be the same and it is an important one for us.”
