Broch model to star in Cannes premiere

A FRASERBURGH model will feature in a film which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival.

Lianne Robertson, 22, who now lives in Northampton, will play the part of an office worker called Jennifer in Secrets, a film by Kemal Yildrim, to be shown at the festival in May.

Miss Robertson, who is in her last year of a drama course at Northampton University, said she had always wanted to be an actress.

“I started performing at the Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society when I was at school and studied drama for two years at Aberdeen College before going to Northampton,” she said.

The former Fraserburgh Academy pupil, whose mother died of cancer when Miss Robertson was a teenager, said she tries to come home to the Broch whenever she can to see her family.
