FORRES Mechanics saw off a dogged Fort William side at Mosset Park to continue their fine recent run.

Forres opened the scoring on three minutes when Graham Shinnie’s cross from the left was passed into the net by Ryan Green. It was 2-0 on 27 minutes as Green ran through the home defence to scored .

Shinnie was again the provider of Forres’ third goal when his corner was fired home from close range by Ross MacPherson.

Fort pulled one back on 33 minutes through Sam Urquhart.

The visitors were right back in it on 50 minutes when Ellis’s low effort flew into the corner of the net. However, Forres rounded off the win when Green knocked the ball into Scott Moore’s path and the midfielder scored from eight yards.
