Boy accused of hitting bus driver in eye

A SCHOOLBOY was today under police investigation after allegedly assaulting a bus driver.
The 14-year-old schoolboy was alleged to have struck the bus driver in the eye while getting off the bus in Kintore.
The incident happened on Wednesday, March 17, after the bus stopped at The Square in Kintore.
The schoolboy was said to have attempted to strike the bus driver when he got on the bus at Kemnay Academy.
It was understood the bus driver managed to duck out of the way but the pupil was allowed to remain on the bus.
When the boy went to leave the vehicle he was said to have struck the driver in the eye.
The bus driver later contacted police to report the incident, which happened in Kintore.
A Grampian Police spokesman today confirmed an investigation into the incident had been launched.
It was understood officers planned to speak to the schoolboy involved in the bus incident within the next few days.
A Stagecoach Bluebird spokesman said: “We will be assisting Grampian Police in their investigation into this matter.”
A spokesman for Aberdeenshire Council said: “We are aware of the incident and it is now a police matter.”
