Duff has gone out there and proved me wrong

GIVEN the run we are on and going 2-0 down at home to our local rivals, it took a tremendous amount of character not to lose the place altogether.
They kept their shape and eventually got the break-through. At that stage you hope they do not throw away the good work by losing the game. They didn't and we deserved not to lose.
It was a huge ask for them to come back given what must have been going on in their heads. During a run like this you feel the world is against you.
I felt decisions went against us. They probably didn't but it felt like they did. At the first goal I believed David Goodwillie came back from an offside position to touch the ball and they ended up scoring.
We had to overcome that kind of thing but they did.
Supporters have the right to question why we have not seen that effort in other games.
It is difficult to answer but what we can say is now we have shown they have it in them, let’s maintain it for the rest of the season.
Stuart Duff has been on loan and on the sidelines. I had doubts about his ability to play in a midfield two. He played in a three and I am absolutely delighted he has proved me wrong.
He has been a brilliant trainer. When it has all been going wrong recently he has been trying to drag people along. That is why he played, I could not ignore him any longer. His attitude for me, who abused him by not playing him, was fantastic. He deserves a huge amount of credit. It is not as if he is a player with huge amounts of self-belief. He is just a good pro and he was brilliant.
Davide Grassi did well. Jim Paterson has hurt his Achilles so Davide has to maintain that level of performance. He was terrific.
