Duff: players will fight for Dons

ABERDEEN midfielder Stuart Duff insists the Dons squad will not sell the club short even if half the players are heading for the Pittodrie exit door in the summer.
Duff is one of nine players out of contract at the end of the season and manager Mark McGhee has made no secret of his plans for a clearout.
McGhee's side remains entrenched in one of the worst runs in the club's history as Saturday's 2-2 draw against Dundee United at Pittodrie equalled an unwanted club record 11 matches without a win.
There were some signs of encouragement, however, as the Dons dug deep to recover from two Jon Daly goals to salvage a point thanks to strikes from Zander Diamond and Michael Paton.
Duff has sympathy with his manager and as a Dons supporter he has been hurting more than most. He insists no one is simply seeing out their time at the club and he is hoping the fightback against United can prove to be a catalyst for the rest of the season.
Duff said: “The manager is entitled to make changes. He wants to push Aberdeen forward. It must be frustrating for him. People can blame him for certain things and blame the players, but I think the players have to take most of the responsibility, if not all.”
