Lochaber landmarks footpath opened
A NEW footpath linking two Lochaber landmarks was opened yesterday.
The two-mile route runs from the High Bridge at Spean Bridge to the Commando Memorial.
High Bridge is where the first volleys were fired in the 1745 Jacobite Rising, while the Commando Memorial commemorates the fallen World War II “Green Berets”, who underwent training in the harsh terrain of Achnacarry.
