Grammar side aims to buck the trend
Published: 20/08/2010
THE final league programme of the 2010 Aberdeenshire Grades season sees Inverurie needing to beat Kintore and hoping that Grammar FPs are resoundingly beaten by Banchory if the Kellands Park side is to avoid dropping down to Grade 2.
If the Rubislaw side survives, it will break a pattern whereby the sides coming up from Grade 2 have been immediately relegated.
One of these was 2nd Cults, but their now-merged team with Artisans looks to have again secured one of the promotion spots along with St Ronald, who look on course for a double championship in Grades both 2 and 3.
Crathie need to win against Crescent to avoid going down with the Duthie Park side and condemn 2nd Banchory, who face St Ronald, to the second relegation spot.
