Believing in power of positive thinking

Published: 06/09/2010

THE power of the human mind knows no bounds and scientists never tire of proving the point. A new study has shown that people tricked into believing they have been given caffeine before a workout actually train harder.

Groups of cyclists were used to test the theory, which led researchers to conclude that if you can convince someone that a substance is going to have a positive effect, it will.

There is, so far, no evidence to support the rumour that Craig Levein was spotted carrying a percolator into Hampden over the weekend.
