Ross due to come back in April

KINGUSSIE’S Ronald Ross reckons it could be another month before he is able to play as he awaits scan results.
Ross has not swung a caman since he was stretchered off in the shinty-hurling international against Ireland last year in Inverness. Recent attempts to build up training has led to the ankle swelling and Ross went to a specialist a fortnight ago.
Kingussie manager Stephen Borthwick expects to be without his inspirational captain and scorer of more than 1,000 goals until April. Ross will not contemplate returning until he knows the damage is sufficiently healed.
He said: “I am waiting for the results of the scan but I would imagine it will be another four weeks. I haven’t been able to train with the team at all since the international and, on the times I have attempted running, it has swollen up again.
“I want to make sure I am not going to break down in a game and feel physically and mentally right before I come back.”
