1,000 have signed up as Trump vision of ‘world’s greatest golf course’ is realised

Construction work on what Donald Trump says will be the greatest golf course in the world is now complete – and 1,000 people have already signed up to play there.

The championship links at the Menie Estate will welcome its first players in July next year. Yesterday, as the first images of the completed course were revealed, two rising European Tour stars backed the dream of bringing the sport’s biggest tournaments to Aberdeenshire.

Just 16 months after contractors moved on to sand dunes, the site has been transformed – and celebrated golf photographer Brian Morgan was brought in to capture the finished holes.
