Temporary clubhouse for Trump course gets go-ahead
The latest phase of Donald Trump’s multimillion-pound golf resort has been approved by councillors.
The Trump Organisation left nothing to chance when its plans for a temporary clubhouse at the Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire were discussed yesterday, drafting in Scotland’s former lord advocate to speak on their behalf.
Colin Boyd QC, who is on Mr Trump’s legal team, urged members of the Formartine area committee to allow the proposals to ensure the north-east could begin “reaping the benefits” of the championship course as soon as it opens next summer.
