Preacher on hellfire charge to ‘cut down on volume’

A STREET preacher has vowed to tone down his fire-and-brimstone sermons after facing allegations that he told shoppers they would burn in Hell.

A witness told Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday that Kenneth Macdonald had upset a woman and her two children in the city’s High Street with his direct approach to promoting Christianity.

The 65-year-old, who is known as “Kenny the Christian”, went on trial charged with acting in a threatening and abusive manner by making offensive remarks using a microphone between January 8 and March 26 last year.
