Beachcomber carried bombs in his pocket

A man who found two bombs with his metal detector, unwittingly put them in his pocket and carried them up a Highland beach to rebury them.

But later at home, the un-named beachcomber searched the internet about his find and realised what they might be.

He told the police yesterday morning, which sparked a bomb squad alert at Nairn’s East Beach.
