Tourists flee holiday home

Tourists had to be evacuated from their holiday home at the weekend as a wildfire destroyed acres of land in a remote part of Lochaber.

More than 60 firefighters were involved in battling the blaze which threatened the property at Achosnich, Ardnamurchan, on Saturday afternoon.

Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service crews had to fight the blaze on two fronts – each about 800 yards long.
