Rallying nurse helps four crushed by car

A NURSE competing in a rally gave first aid to spectators who were hit by another racer and crushed as they tried to help her out of a ditch.

Rachel Medich was on the first stage of the Granite City event when she lost control of her Nissan Micra and crashed off a Deeside forest road.

Four people – a Scottish Rally Championship competitor who was watching the action and three members of one of the country’s leading motorsport groups – ran to try to help her get back on the course.
