I’m the luckiest guy, says father hurt in rally crash

A north-east man last night described himself as “the luckiest guy” after escaping with minor injuries from a serious crash at the Granite City Rally.

Kenny Clubb, from Peterculter, near Aberdeen, was one of four spectators injured after helping a vehicle which had come off the road during the opening stage of the event at Durris Forest, Banchory, on Saturday.

While the father-of-two – who had been watching the race with his young sons – assisted in getting the vehicle back on track, a second car hit the group of men.
