Spectator dies on terraces at football match

An Inverness Caledonian Thistle fan collapsed and died while watching his heroes in a crunch Premier League match.

The supporter – named locally as John MacDonald – was watching the Highlanders take on Kilmarnock with his partner when he suffered a suspected heart attack.

The tragedy unfolded at the Ayrshire club’s ground, Rugby Park, on Saturday afternoon.
