THE Scottish Government will today be urged to track the country’s most dangerous sex offenders by satellite after a paedophile tried to abduct two north-east children.
Ryan Yates had been out of prison for less than a week when he tried to murder an Aberdeen pensioner so he could kidnap and rape her granddaughters.
The Press and Journal can reveal today that a major review of the case has called for an overhaul of the way Scotland’s most dangerous offenders are monitored.
It also pinpoints failings by Grampian Police, Aberdeen City Council and other bodies which could have helped stop Yates before he struck again.
