Games firm takes over Gala casino

European gaming-based entertainment business Rank is expanding its casino interests in Aberdeen.

The firm has one site in Europe’s oil capital – the G casino in Exchequer Row.

However, it will double its presence after a deal announced yesterday, which will lead to it taking control of the Gala casino in Summer Street.

The Granite City’s wealth is understood to have been a big factor in Rank wanting to double its presence.
