Sun set to shine for at least another week

The north-east recorded the highest temperature in Scotland yesterday as it basked in glorious spring sunshine.
The sun split the skies across the whole country – but the temperature peaked at Lossiemouth, where it was 23.9C.
It was the hottest day of the year so far.
Families dug out their buckets and spades and headed to beaches and parks to make the most of the beautiful sunshine.
