Caley Jags and Dons end Gers SPL hopes

Caley Thistle and Aberdeen have sounded the death knell to Rangers’ hopes of playing in the Scottish Premier League next season by confirming they will vote against admitting a newco into the league.

The clubs’ confirmation came as it was announced a criminal investigation is to be launched into Craig Whyte's takeover of Rangers.
