Brown gives Hayes a weekend deadline

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown has given Caley Thistle attacker Jonny Hayes, right, until the end of the week to commit his future to the club.

The Dons announced they had reached an agreement with Hayes on May 30 but nearly a month later the Irishman has still to put pen to paper on a two-year deal.

Brown’s patience is wearing thin as he waits for the player to complete the formalities of his deal and will drop his interest in Hayes if he does not commit this week.
