Chart the flight of the bumblebee
Scientists and nature-lovers are calling on the public to help map the movements of nature’s most important pollinator – the bumblebee.
An internet tool has been developed by environmental and computing experts at Aberdeen University to help people identify species of bees around them.
Little is known about the geographical spread of these insects so, with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, scientists launched the initiative. Participants will add dots to the map and learn how to identify species.
