North distillery expects over 20,000 visitors

A Highland distillery said yesterday it expected to welcome more than 20,000 people this summer after investing £150,000 in its visitor centre.
Tomatin Distillery, about 15 miles south of Inverness, also said it had received four-star status from VisitScotland after upgrading the facilities in its visitor centre and expanding the tour to include more of the site’s production areas.
Visitor-centre manager Marie Macleod said: “Following the refurbishment, the visitor centre now looks much brighter and more inviting.
