Scots economy ‘shows signs of stagnating’

The Scottish economy has improved slightly but shows signs of stagnating, a new report says.

One-third of businesses north of the border suffered a fall in turnover during the three months to May 30, although nearly the same number experienced growth, Lloyds TSB Scotland (LTSBS) adds.

The net balance of -1% for the period is an improvement on the -6% in the previous quarter but down from a 2% positive difference in survey findings a year ago.
