Scotland hopes on a sticky wicket

Former Scotland international Paul Hoffmann is an optimist by nature, but the head groundsman at Uddingston fears the Saltires’ crucial Intercontinental Cup match against Canada will be washed out.

The Australian reckons it could take a miraculous change in the weather to allow him to properly prepare a wicket and outfield fit for the occasion.
