Dad left in coma after being hit by car on night out

A YOUNG man was in a coma last night following a horrific crash in a north-east town centre.

The 24-year-old was knocked to the ground by a car as he stepped out of a nightclub in Queen Street, Peterhead.

The man, who has been named locally as “Bugsy” Anderson, suffered a serious head injury and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

It is understood the father-of-one, who is in intensive care, will undergo surgery on his skull in the next 48 hours.
