Creditors unlikely to see their cash again

Businesses owed money by the north construction group that went into administration in May with debts of almost £11.5million are unlikely to get any of it back, according to the administrators.

The collapse of the Inverness and Hebrides-based UBC Group affected more than 500 companies and individuals, including businesses in the Highlands and islands.

Glasgow-based Zolfo Cooper, who were appointed as administrators for the company, yesterday revealed there was unlikely to be any money to pay the company’s unsecured creditors, who are owed almost £7.9million.
