‘Something special’ in the air
US businessman Donald Trump described his new golf resort as “something really special” as he teed off for the first time.
The controversial course at Menie Estate, near Balmedie in Aberdeenshire, was unveiled to an exclusive group of guests yesterday before Sunday’s public opening.
Pipers played as guests – including local councillors, hotelier Stewart Spence, housebuilder Stewart Milne and oil businessman Douglas Craig – waited for the cutting of the ribbon at the first tee.
