Tourism group appoints CEO

The new group which is to market Aberdeen to leisure and business visitors said yesterday it had appointed a chief executive.
The boss of Visit Aberdeen will be Steve Harris, now head of UK media relations at oil group Shell.
He will take up his position with the destination-management organisation on Tuesday, August 14.
VisitAberdeen is a cross-sector partnership, with core funding from Aberdeen City Council.
