Tributes paid as heiress death probe continues

Tributes were paid yesterday to one of Britain’s richest women — as police continued to investigate how she died.

The body of Eva Rausing was found on Monday at the family home in Chelsea, London., after her husband, Hans Kristian Rausing, the heir to the Tetra Pak drinks carton empire, was arrested for alleged drugs offences.

He continued to receive medical treatment at an undisclosed location yesterday as the Metropolitan Police declined to comment on reports that the body of Mrs Rausing may have lain at the family’s Georgian five-storey town house in west London for up to a week before it was discovered.
